The Coös Cycling Club is excited to partner with the Gorham Recreation Department to offer a full week of mountain bike programming for youth ages 10-14 on the Coös Trails network in Gorham, New Hampshire.
Each day, qualified coaches will lead fun forward rides while providing instruction to improve bike handling skills while having a blast on the Coös Trails network. We will meet each morning at 9:00 am the Libby Recreation Center and hit the trails. The group will return to Libby’s for lunch before heading out for an afternoon adventure and returning to wrap the day at 3 pm. While the week will include other activities, including swimming, learning about basic bike maintenance and even tackling a small trail maintenance project, this will be an intensive week of riding.
Participants should have prior experience on single track trail and be able to ride a minimum of 10 miles/day.
Cost: Thanks to a generous grant from the Northern Forest Center, this program is being offered at no cost to residents of Coös County. $75 for the week for children from outside the Androscoggin Valley. Additional financial assistance and loaner bikes from the Pete’s Bikes Program available at no cost.
